Precision meets innovation: our 3D measuring table for the aviation industry

We are delighted to present to you an exciting project that represents another milestone in the world of special machine construction: our high-precision 3D measuring table. This exceptional system was developed as part of a research project for the aerospace industry, and represents a ground-breaking solution for the automated machining of components.

Precision on a new level

At the centre of this project is our 3D measuring arm, which enables the high-precision measurement of the position and length of components in space. With an accuracy of an impressive 15 µm at the measuring head and an overall system accuracy of 30 µm (0.03 mm), we are setting new standards in measurement technology. This precise measurement is the key to further processing in automated production processes.

From component to point cloud - and then to the robot

The data collected by the measuring head is converted into a high-resolution point cloud and transferred to a robot. This uses the information to determine the exact pick-up position of the component, as well as its excess length. Based on this data, the robot can grip the component and position it precisely for the next processing steps.

Revolution in the aviation industry

Our 3D measuring table is used in an automatic processing line that was specially designed for the aviation industry. The ability to measure the position of a component in space with extreme accuracy is a major advance that optimises the entire process chain and opens up completely new possibilities for production.

Pride in our team

This project is an outstanding example of the ingenuity and commitment of our team. With the application of creativity, technical expertise and the necessary drive to tackle tricky tasks, we have created a solution which not only fulfils the high requirements of aviation, but can also be used in many areas of industry.

We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved with our 3D measuring table, and look forward to utilising this technology in many more challenging applications.

Stay tuned – we still have a lot planned!
